RE: RV makes a splash into Mission Bay!

I have to disagree with a lot of you guys.I've launched my boat many times with my RV and with the long rear overhang the rear wheels never get any where near the water. JMO

RE: F53 Antifreeze Change?? Final UPDATE

Don,I have a 99 F53 V10 chassis.I changed the antifreeze last year. The total system holds about 8 gallons, but when you drain the radiator you only get about 4 gallons.I drained the radiator and added 4 gallons of distilled water, and drove the motorhome to my sons weekly dirt bike race(90 mile round trip),4 weeks in a row. After 4 weeks the water drained out pretty clean. After I felt it was flushed enough I drained the radiator and added 4 gallons of full strength antifreeze. After a couple weeks of driving it tests good to minus 40 degrees.

RE: Air Conditioner Voltage

If you are running 107 volts on 12gauge wire I'd go to 10 gauge wire. This will put you over 108 volts which is considered to be minimum.Make sure the fridge and water heater are running on propane.JMO.

Flying J website?

I really liked the Flying J web site for checking fuel prices, and they had to go and change it!They used to tell you the highway number and mile marker and now they just tell the city. Why can't they leave well enough alone!JMO. sometimes I love the net, sometimes I hat it.

RE: TransCommand question.

Don't know how the Trans command works as far as converter lockup but I know it's the best money I ever spent on my MH.

RE: Gas Tank Alarm

I don't have to worry about anyone stealing gas from my MH since my tank is on E.Since I can't afford to fill it up I don't need any kind of alarm system.:B

RE: What else is your motorhome good for?

Over 1/2 of the flooring in our stick house is hardwood, and we had it refinished last fall.Spent a few nights in the MH because of the fumes and smell.

RE: Digital to Analog TV Converter in RV --- Wow!

I have a 500 watt invertor running my 19" tv,vcr and surround sound. The invertor was bought at Radio shack for about $60 so I assume it's a msw invertor.Got my digital convertor box at ABC warehouse last week and tied it into the system. It works great with the bat wing antenna.I get about 3 times as many channels, crystal clear pics, and it runs fine off the invertor.

HHO gas convertors?

There are several companys selling plans for HHO gas convertors on the net.Personally I am skeptical about the results but I have a couple of buddies who are all excited about it.We have experimented with other things with varying results.I am the "electrical" expert of the group so they want me to look into HHO gas production.I would like to know if anyone on this site has ACTUALLY tried this technology, and hear there actual, honest results, without them trying to sell me anything. If you haven't actually tried it I'm not looking for "opinions".

RE: Looking to buy-460/454 ok to tow 5K# car hauler?

I have a 99 Coachman 33foot class A on a V10 Ford chassis.GVW is 18k,and GCWR is 26k.I reenforced the frame extensions and the hitch and towed a 24foot enclosed trailer with a small car and three dirt bikes inside. Probally about 6500lbs total.I towed this combo from Michigan to Florida several times with no problems. My V10 is the 275hp version so I added Gibson exhaust and a Banks Trans Command.I felt I had plenty of power.I know I broke a few "rules"but I did fine.My boys don't race bikes as much so I sold the big trailer and got a smaller one.
